I’m so sorry you’re going through this as a family.

Tracy, your article about the love you feel for your brother has me in tears. My son has schizophrenia and he has mostly the negative symptoms. He lives with his father and has never lived independently. He’s 33 and on total disability. I cry every day for him, for his aloneness. He was the best little boy, the sweetest little boy and still is now. His sister and I are his only friends so to speak.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this as a family. I empathize with your suffering and understand the helplessness of the situation. We can only hope more will be discovered about this illness. It truly is a lonely path, but your son will always be your sweet little boy.
